Halloween!

Tyler & Mommy

Our cute little Monkey!

Tyler & Daddy

So for Halloween I found the cutest costume at Target. Tyler helped by grabbing it and hugging it. We decided right then and there in the Halloween area that he would be a Monkey! He is a monkey at home anyways, climbing and jumping around, so we thought why not?! In the morning he was not really into the monkey outfit and cried, we thought he would never wear it to go trick-or-treating. We got the surprise though that night, he put it on with all his safety stuff (he wore this cute blinky light around his neck) and grabbed his candy bucket and hopped in his little car and we were off! At every house he would get out of his car, walk up to the door and knock, and when the door opened he would say, "HI!". Addam had to hold the candy bucket because he didn't really get that, and he would say thank you to everyone. We thought that we would just do our block and head home, well, Mommy was the only one who went home because someone had to hand out candy! Addam and Tyler were out the entire time before it down poured rain! They had a great time! And thank goodness they came home when they did because I was running out of candy so I borrowed some of the stuff we didn't like in Tyler's candy bucket and handed it out. Is that bad? Overall, it was a great Halloween and we can't wait for next year!

We just wanted to send out our congrats to my brother-in-law Matt and sister-in-law Jessica, our nephew Zach and niece Katie on the arrival of the newest family member! Joshua arrived and was healthy as can be! I forgot how small newborns are, and it was such a joy and priviledge to be there and see him as he was only 2 days old! Congrats you guys! We love you all!

Funderland!

Sharing a corn dog with Daddy!

Since I had to work toinght, Addam had the great idea of taking Tyler to Funderland! How awesome of a Dad is he?! Funderland is a kiddie amusement park in Sacramento near the zoo and Fairy Tale Town. Needless to say they had a total blast and rode every ride! Go Daddy!

Sand

Addam has been working on the top of our hill since the summer started, and he put sand up there and placed slate over it so we could sit up there on our park bench and look at the hills behind our community. Tyler has now discovered that we have sand at our house and loves to play in it! He's so funny, though we have to make sure it doesn't hit the mouth because he still likes to eat sand every now and then! I think this means that Santa might have to bring a sand box!

Playdate with Emily

Can you tell Tyler liked them?

This week we missed Jenn and Abby for our Friday playdate. So Lisa and Emily came over and we again had yummy chocolate chip muffins and starbuck's (Thanks so much Lisa!). I also had some kind of crazy moment the night before and made cupcakes for the kids to decorate. I wasn't too sure what we might be getting into but Lisa and I decided to go for it! The kids loved it! They were covered in frosting, sprinkles and cupcakes! It was awesome! Thanks for a great time guys!

Pumpkin Time!

Driving the pumpkin truck.

Playing in the tanker on the train.

Playing in the pumpkins!

Tyler watching the farmer drive the tractor.

Daddy and Tyler picking out pumpkins.

With Halloween just being around the corner now, we decided we needed pumpkins. Many people at work had recommended we go to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland. I was a little wary because Wheatland is about 45 minutes to an hour from our house and I didn't know how Tyler would do in the car for that long. So we decided we would give it a go and just go! It was a blast! Though the traffic on the way there wasn't my favorite because I hate traffic, when we arrived it was absolutely all worth it! The place is amazing! We arrived and saw the tractor pulling the hay ride you take to go to the field to pick your own pumpkin, yes I said PICK YOUR OWN PUMPKIN! When do you ever get to do that?! They had a train ride and all sorts of activities for kids. We spent over 2 hours there and we could have been there longer enjoying the petting zoo, train and pumpkin patch. We ended up with 2 HUGE pumpkins for Mommy and Daddy and Tyler already had one at home that Grammy grew in her garden for him. While at the pumpkin farm we saw another family from Metro Fire and it was great catching up. After pumpkin picking we went to dinner and then headed home. It was a great afternoon and we'll definitly be going every year! Wonderful experience and great family place!

After Breakfast

Fashion statement! Dino pj's, fleece jacket, shoes and a beanie! And you can't forget the snack cup for the child on the go!

Every morning after Tyler's finishes breakfast, he's off to the back slider and is trying to reach for the handle to open it to go outside. He says please every time, because he doesn't get to go out if he doesn't say please (I'm a meanie...LOL!). So this particular morning it was 48 degree's outside so I just grabbed whatever was within reach and put it on him and let him go for it! He had a blast and was out there for probably an hour! It's a great start to our day and he loves it! We love you Tyler!

Pizza with Grammy & Unkie Steve

So after all of this fun, we had more fun! Addam was having a night of fun with his brother Matt and his cousins Ben & Greg, so Tyler and I had pizza with Grammy and Unkie Steve. We went to the Mountain Mike's in El Dorado Hills because it's close to our house and Steve's and Grammy was up at Unkie Steve's working in his garden. We had a great time! When Tyler saw them pull up in the parking lot he starting waving and wanted to run over to them. So cute! He kept saying, "Zeeee!". Which we've kind of determined must be Steve. Hugs and kisses were given out and then it was time for food! Tyler was picking around at his fruit and the pizza, which is normal because there is so much to see in a restaurant, who has time to eat?! As we were getting ready to go, Tyler decides he's going to eat the 2 last pieces. He just picked them up and started to eat the pizza like we had been eating it and we were laughing so hard because it was so cute! What a big boy! We just sat there for another half hour probably just letting him explore the pizza and have fun! Thanks for a great dinner guys!

Playdate at Jenn & Abby's Home

Tyler, Abby and Emily

Tyler and Rylee snuggling.

So after all the morning fun, we had playdate in the afternoon with Tyler's buddies Emily and Abby. And I of course had my Mommy playdate with their Mommie's Lisa and Jenn. The kids had a blast of course exploring all of Abby's toys and her home. They recently remodeled their home and it is gorgeous! I want Jenn's kitchen! Go Jenn! It was a great afternoon of fun and adventure. Tyler loved Abby's dog Rylee, and Rylee loved him back. Tyler added another furry friend to his list! Thanks Jenn for the great fun at your home and snacks!

Fire Safety at Zach's School

Addam talking about his turn out's, lots of questions about his outfit were asked!

Addam showing how they go into a house when there is a fire.

All the kids following Addam as he gives the tour of the engine.

Addam was asked by our sister-in-law Jessica to come to our nephew Zachary's kindergarten class and do a fire safety talk to the kids. Since October is fire safety month it was perfect. Addam was so prepared and brought all sorts of things for the kids. He taught them about the difference between tools and toys and that tools are for grown up's. These kids were smart! They all knew to call 911 if there was a fire or emergency. Addam even wore his full turn out's and his SCBA (his breathing gear for a fire), and the kids loved it!! When we walked in one of the students stood up and said, "Your a fireman, you're sooooooo cool!". We then handed out the fire hats and sticker's to each student, then they walked out following Addam to the awaiting fire enginge from the station that is down the street from his school. Each kid was able to sit in the engine and they each got to shoot water from the hose and aim for the light pole! It was amazing to watch my husband teach all of the kids and to watch their faces light up with enjoyment! You did a great job Addam! We love you! After the fun at Zach's school we headed over to let our niece Katie and Tyler play at their house, and they loved it! Tyler thinks Zach and Katie are so cool! We love you guys and can't wait to have another fun day together!

Fairy Tale Town

Tyler & Addam going down the Shoe slide

Down the tree slide in the 100 Acre Forest!

Feeding the ducks.

One afternoon, we wanted to get away and take Tyler to a new place. We decided what could be better than Fairy Tale Town!! We had an absolute blast! I remember going as a kid with my family, and let me tell you, the place hasn't changed at all! It was so much fun to walk around and say the nursery rhyme and go down the slides and climb up everything, it was an awesome afternoon. After we left Fairy Tale Town, we walked across the street the Land Park and fed the ducks bread. Tyler decided he was hungry so he ate the bread and then decided to share towards the end. But I definitly recommed Fairy Tale Town for an afternoon of fun!

Backyard Fun!

Tyler's new play set!

Smile!

Sliding on his tummy

Walking on the wall. I think he thinks that it's the beam from gymnastics!

Attempting a forward roll on the wall. I helped him down to the grass to do that!

So the other day I bought a small play structure off of Craigs list for Tyler to play on in our backyard so he would have something to climb on since he is now climbing everything. I do have to thank the Rudnicki's for the idea of hitting Craigslist for the kid stuff! Tyler absolutely loves it! He just climbs up and slides down, walks over to the swing and says out loud, "WEE!". We have a great time in the back yard with our new addition of toys!

Carmichael Botanical Garden

So Tyler and I decided to take an adventure one day when Daddy was at work to the Botanical Garden that is in Carmichael. Our friend Lisa had told us about it and what's better than the outdoors and open space to run?! We got there and it was great, open space galore! As I was chasing Tyler we ran past a bench, and I had to look back because there was a guy sleeping there (snoring mind you!) and I was like we'll go on the other side of the park. So as I chased Tyler to the other side, we went across a small bridge and all I can see is Tyler stop and he can't move and he says, "HELP!". I catch up to him and he's stuck in mud and so am I!!! To say the least he wanted to leave, he didn't care for the mud and neither did Mommy! Maybe we'll go when it's not so wet there! But it was totally pretty and a great place to run around!

Friday Playdates

On Friday's I've been getting together with 2 other Mom's from Little Gym and letting our kids just play together and hang out with other Mommy's. This week I held it at my home and it was great! Lisa and her daughter Emily, and Jenn and her daughter Abby all came over and we had coffee (Thanks Lisa!) and some yummy breakfast goodies that I made. We had fun just sitting in the backyard and letting the kids, well, be KIDS! It was great to watch them all play together and learn from eachother. It was also great to be able to talk with other Mom's about Mom stuff and to have an adult conversation. It was awesome! I look forward to Friday's! Thanks ladies for a wonderful time! (pictures to come!).

Apple Hill

Our family shot.

Father & Son

Tyler riding the pony

Addam & Tyler having a good tickle and laugh!

We finally made it up to Apple Hill! Of course it was rainy and a little cool, but it didn't stop us from having a blast! When Tyler woke up from his nap we got everyone dressed, jumped in the truck with a few snacks in tow and hit the road. We went to High Hill Ranch (thanks for the suggestion Lisa!), and we stayed there for a while and just had lots of fun! We played around the pond, Tyler must have thought it was a pool because he kept wanting to get in. We rode the horses that were there, and Tyler loved it! He kept petting the horse. We had lunch and of course apple pie with ice cream! It was a great afternoon of fun and family time!

An afternoon at The Falls

Zach, Katie, Tyler & Me

Tyler on the slide

Tyler & Zach enjoying the water park!

Tyler playing! He was soaked!

My sister-in-law Jessica and I, always mean to get together since we live so close to eachother and let the kids play and be buddies. But she is currently pregnant and due with baby #3 and with my nephew starting kindergarten, scheduling is hectic! So we finally got it all together and decided to get together in the afternoon one day and hit the new shopping mall in Roseville called The Falls. We of course had frozen yogurt, sooo yummy! We then took a train ride. Zachary, Katie, Tyler and I all fit into on car (thank goodness I fit!). After our fun ride on the train we walked over to the playground and the water park. Yes, I said water park. After all this place is called The Falls! The kids had a blast playing together and it was so nice to see Jess and the kids. I love being with family and with Joshua about to make his appearance in around 3 weeks, another cousin will be added to the play group! Thanks for a great afternoon guys!! After all that fun it was off to Grammy & Grandpa Joyal's for dinner. Thanks Mom & Don for the YUMMY dinner! We love you!
