Me & Addam

Hot August Nights is our annual family trip with my side of the family. My mom, stepdad, brother and our little family all pack up and head to Reno, NV for 4 days of classic car fun! We show my Mom's 70 Torino GT (it's not the Starsky & Hutch car!). Next year we will take my mom and brother's 68 Camaro RS to show. We stayed at the Silver Legacy which is our favorite place to stay because it is central to everything we like to go to. We cruise the strip in downtown Reno every night after dinner and it's a blast! Tyler loved it and loved waving to everyone, he especially liked all the oohh's and ahh's, and the "He's so cute!" comments. He would smile and wave more, what a ham! While we were there we decided to go to water park and hit the slides. Tyler wasn't really as into it as we thought he would be since he loves the slide at the gym pool. But towards the end he had an awesome time! It was nice to spend a whole 4 days together and just enjoy family time together! Can't wait for next year!

Rocklin Water Park

Having a blast!

His favorite thing at the park to ride in.

One day I had the idea of let's go to the water park in Rocklin. Little did I know that there were 3 small water park's! So I picked the one that was closest to our house, it took about 30 minutes to get there, but worth the drive! Tyler, Grammy & I had a blast! It was totally hot that day, but they had some shade for Grammy and Tyler and I just ran through the water. I should have worn a swim suit! He had so much fun watching the water shoot up out of the ground and running through it. Addam was bummed to miss out, he was at work. But it's next to the Fire Station and the engine went out and Tyler yelled, "Dada!". So cute! I'm sure we'll be going a lot! So much fun and we can't wait to go again!

Sacramento Zoo

Daddy & Tyler (How cute!)

Flamingo's!

Playing in the park & chasing ducks!

We are so lucky to have 2 zoo's near our home. We decided to finally make the trip to Sacramento to go to the Zoo there. We weren't sure how Tyler would do, but luckily we only live 20 minutes or so from the zoo, so we were safe if he didn't like it! We arrived at the zoo and he was out of the stroller immediately saying, "That!". He was pointing and talking the entire time. He loved the flamingo's and giraffee's the most, and of course the monkey's! It was a great afternoon well spent. After we finished up at the zoo, Land Park has a huge pond and park area right acroos the street. It's a beautiful old neighborhood in Sacramento and it's so nice to see such large parks! Tyler loved the ducks and chased them all over the park with Daddy. We didn't make it to Fairytale Town that trip, but next time we'll make a day out of it since there is so much to do in walking distance there!

Johanna & Joe's Wedding

The Beautiful Bride & I

On July 27th, 2008 one of my oldest and bestest friend's Johanna got married!! Her husband Joe and she were married in Lafayette, CA at the War Veteran's Hall (it's gorgeous there!). Johanna and I have known eachother since we were 12, and our families are like eachother's second family. She looked absolutely radiant in her gown and I'm so happy for them! I was honored to be the Maid of Honor for Johanna and stand by her during one of the biggest days in her life, and it brought up memories of my wedding and how thankful I am for wonderful hubby and son. Life gets more exciting after marriage and I wish them the best!

Brooke & Scott's Engagement Party, Brooke's Bridal Shower

Scott & Brooke

Brooke & I

I had the wonderful opprotunity to go to So Cal for weekend to celebrate one of my best friends' engagements and her upcoming wedding. Brooke and I went to Chapman together and are sorority sisters (GO DG!!). Her Hubby to be Scott, is a wonderful man and I know they will live happily ever after! It was very special to be part of their weekend and to celebrate what is to come, and to pass on a little married life knowledge! LOL! They will be married January 3, 2009 and I can't wait to be there to support her on one of the biggest days of her life! LITB Brookie!
