Folsom Zoo with Mommy

Tyler running after a peacock!

Mommy & Tyler

Tyler and I usually hit the library at least once a week for a new round of books. What can I say the boy loves to read! So on this particular afternoon the zoo that is located right next to the library here in town was open. So I thought, "Why not?". We walked over to the zoo after chasing every rooster and chicken in the park. Tyler had a blast! He loved looking at all of the animals and I would attempt to make the noise that the animal makes (my attempt wasn't that great, but Tyler loved it!). It was a great afternoon outing for the both of us!

Chicken Dance and Push-ups with Daddy

Tyler doing the chicken dance! (Yep, and he has on Unkie Steve's Cordelia Fire hat, he loves it!)

Push ups!!

So one night when my Mom was over, we taught Tyler how to move his arms like a chicken and do the chicken dance. It's soooo funny and he loves doing it. He just puts his arms up and looks at you and is like, "Where is my music?". And we all dance and have a good laugh. Tyler loves to lay down on Addam's back and have Addam do push-ups. He has such a good job and Addam is a crack up because he's laughing and trying to hold it all together!

A Night of FUN with Friends!

Rylee & Tyler running around

Tyler & Rylee climbing up the stairs

My friend Kim and I have been trying to get together for weeks and let our kids play together. Kim and I have known eachother since nursing school & work together in the ER, and the hubby's both work for Metro. One afternoon we got together at her home since her youngest was asleep (he's a growing boy!). Tyler loves to play with Rylee and is just amazed at everything she did. They have such an amazing play area in the front of their home, the kids just played and played. Finally we decided to head over to Town Center, which is a large shopping area across the road from their housing development and grab some dinner and yummy dessert. We hit Maui Taco's for yummy food! Tyler just kept watching Rylee and kept waving to Brody. Rylee was so nice and shared some of her chips with Tyler. We then headed over to Yogaberry. It's a frozen yogurt shop where you serve yourself and add all the toppings you want to it. We sat down by the fountain and pond and let the kids just go. It was so peaceful and uplifting to watch our kids just run and play together and have such a great time. Plus it was great to hang out with Kim since we don't see eachother as often now. We had a great night and we look forward to another night of fun!

No Camera

So I'm bummed to say that Geek Squad currently has my camera at this time for repair. It should be back in 2-3 weeks. I promise I'll make up for the blogs by then!

Shaving with Daddy

One morning Addam was shaving and Tyler wanted to know what he was doing. So I picked him up and showed him what Daddy was doing. Tyler thought the shaving cream was so funny on Daddy's face. So Addam put a little on Tyler's face, took the blade off the razor and pretended he was doing the same thing! Tyler was all excited and really focused on what Daddy was doing. So cute to watch Tyler learning from his Dada!!

Tahoe for the day!

Mommy teaching Tyler to throw rocks, he just giggled!

One morning we just woke up and decided to get in the truck and head up to Tahoe. Luckily we live so close, and Addam loves to go up there! Addam would go to Fallen Leaf Lake every year with his family to go camping and he has so many wonderful memories and talks of it every time we go there. We hope to start the same tradition with our family, and yes I'm even planning on camping in a tent! Shocker to you all I know!!! We decided we just needed to get out of the house. Tyler had been teething, another stinkin' molar and it was a bad time for him. So we thought a change of scenery might do him good. He fell asleep on the way up and decided to wake up 30 minutes outside of Tahoe. We had a great drive and when we got up there we had a yummy lunch in one of the many restaurants in Heavenly Village. We walked around and lots of fun. We then decided to go to Pope Beach and play in the sand and maybe get our toes wet. Addam was the bravest and got in all the way up to his chest, Tyler kept saying, "Dadda!". So Addam came back to the beach and picked him up and they wadded in the water. Addam said it was freezing, so I was happily dry and warm on the beach! After playing in the sand and water, we decided to hit Fallen Leaf Lake and take a little walk around then head home. We had a great time! Tyler was a little fussy, but not too bad! He liked Mommy teaching him how to throw rocks into the water. At one point he just broke down and cried and said, "Mama". He put his little arms up and I picked him up and the tears stopped and he just starred at me. It melted my heart. I love my men! We had a great and fun day in Tahoe with more trips to come!

Fall Semester at Little Gym

Tyler getting his bells for the Hello song.

Mommy & Tyler

Daddy helping Tyler on the beam.

Tyler hanging on the bars.

So we started our Fall semester at Little Gym. Tyler is so excited to wake up every Saturday and head to gymnastics with Miss Brandie. He loves the songs and gets so into everything. He loves doing all the skills and really loves forward rolls, the bar, and even balance beam. At the end of class they bring out bubbles and he has so much fun running around and chasing them with the other kids. Addam comes when he doesn't have to work, but misses being there when he has to work! We miss him too!

Rivercats Game

Our seats. Pictured are: Jon, Brody, Tyler, and Kim.

Tyler & Addam dancing, and then they were on the jumbo screen!

We went to Tyler's 1st Baseball game! We went to the Rivercats game with our good friends The Rudnicki's and another family. We had so much fun! We sat out in the outfield on the grass and Tyler had a blast. He just ran after anyone and just was on the go and was even on the jumbo screen when he was on Addam's shoulders. It was a beautiful night and a great way to be with our friends. Kim & I went to nursing school together, Addam and Jon went to Chabot College and now work for Metro Fire together! We are so lucky to have great friends and the kids love playing together! Thanks again Rudnicki's, we'll have to do it again next year!

State Fair

Petting the animals.

We went to the State Fair this year and had a blast! Of course we picked like the hottest day to go, but we packed lots of drinks and snacks and headed off for an afternoon of fun! Tyler absolutely loved the petting zoo and anything that had to do with animals. He stopped at each animal in the petting zoo and pet them and then would run to the next one. It was a great day to spend as a family!

Blocks

So serious...

I did it!

Since Tyler was born, Addam is so excited for when he can play with Leggo's. So Addam bought him the bigger version of Leggo's and for the longest time it was only Addam playing with the blocks and Tyler would just knock it down. But since Tyler has moved up to the Toddler Room at the gym he has watched the older kids play with the blocks. Now every day he opens up his bin of blocks and builds stuff and tears it down over and over. He even sometimes puts the blocks away! Someday we'll have tons of Leggo's I can see it, but for now we're fine with these!

Lunch time!

CHEESE!

So I just had to share this picture of Tyler after eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He was so funny! He loves to put it in his hair, don't ask me why! Just a fun picture!

Fun at the park!

Tyler playing at the park.

Tyler's new favorite place to have an adventure at is the park! He absolutely loves it because there is so much room to run around and he can climb things constantly! I took him to one of the many local parks near the house and he just played in the sand the entire time. Thankfully he does not eat the sand anymore, but he would just pick it up and drop it or scoop it up. It was amazing to watch him and how fast he is growing up. I take a million pictures because I don't want to miss anything, and he is now a camera ham! It was a nice HOT day at the park.

Sprinkler Fun with Daddy

So since it has been so hot here, one morning when Addam got home from work the sprinklers in the front yard turned on and Tyler just ran through them to get to Daddy. It was so cute because he didn't care that he was getting wet, he just wanted his Daddy! So since it was already warm out, we decided to just let him run through the water and get cooled off. He had so much fun! He didn't want to go in the house, but eventually he did because we had Sierra our dog go in first and he followed. It was a great start to the day!
