Our flooring saga....

Trevor smiling through it all!

Tyler dancing away!

Cement and hardwood... the final outcome is soooo much better!

Well, as most of you know, we decided to get new flooring in our house since our carpet was on it's last leg between 2 adults, 2 kid's and a crazy dog. So we decided to splurge and get beautiful hardwood floors.... little did we know what we were getting into! The demo wasn't so bad, but it was the fact that after the demo and installing 1/3 of the wood that they figured out that the woods did not match and there was a manufacturing problem. To say the least I about fell over and had a hissy fit because I couldn't believe it! We had a representative from the manufacturer come to our home and look at it and even he couldn't believe it was wrong... we had about 7 planks in our house of the correct wood! GRRRRRRR!!! So to say the least we will never be doing anything else to this house because it's always toooooo crazy and there's always something wrong.. LOL! But in the end we were compensated since we had only a little hardwood and a whole lot of cement floors for about 3-4 weeks with two small kid's. Basically everyday we moved to a new house and came home to sleep. Thank you to my Mom and Brother Steve for letting us crash at your houses and for feeding us! We love you all! Our floors look amazing now, and though I was told I would forget about it, I haven't, but I love the floors anyways!

El Dorado Hills Tree Lighting

Our Family

Trevor bundled up!

Haily, Tyler and Steve

We were invited by our friend's Fritz and Morgan to attend the El Dorado Hills tree lighting with them. We of course were late, thinking who lights a tree on time, well apparently they do in EDH! But Tyler had a great time dancing to the music and running around. Steve and his girlfriend Haily came with us to and it was great to all hang out! What a fun night!

Thanksgiving

Alissa & Trevor playing.

My Grandparent's and Trevor

My Grandpa ("Nono" is what the kid's call him) & Trevor

Happy Thanksgiving! We seem to always have about 50 different places to go for holidays. But it does help that our families both live in the bay area, so if we do both families in one day it's usually a short drive to either home. We first went to my Grandparent's home in San Pablo and visited with my family. It was the first time my Grandpa had meet and held Baby Trevor. It's soooo wonderful to see my Grandparent's holding our children and knowing that they have such a special bond with them! It makes my Grandparent's day to hear about the kiddo's and see pictures. (I've got to keep this blog up and going or else!! hehe..). We then headed to Concord to see Addam's family at his Dad & Stephanie's house. Everyone was there and it was great to see everyone and for all the cousins to play together and hang out. It was a long day, but a great one since it was spent with family the whole time!

Brotherly Love

Tyler has been asking everyday to hold "Trevor on my lap Mommy". So we put him on his lap and let him hold him. He thinks it's the greatest thing! He will give his little brother a hug and a little kiss on the head too! It's amazing to watch how much they are growing together and how much they really do love eachother! Love you two!

The "Stache"

Well, from the heading you may or may not get it. Yep, my husband who has always had a clean shaven face the entire time we have been together has grown a mustache with the rest of his crew! I was also informed that they are all keeping them until they get a fire! EEKKKK! They are also doing it as an awareness for colon cancer. Can't believe everyone has one.. they all look so different! But Addam has been getting a lot of compliments from other's saying, "You can pull it off!". Not that I want a fire, okay, well maybe a small garbage can fire can happen and it will be shaven off!! :)

Station Visit

Tyler and Abby in the Engineer's seat.

Hanging out in the day room.

Tyler pretending to be his favorite Engineer, Eric! As he quotes, "Eric drive the weeoooooo FAST!"

Not the normal engine, but the kid's didn't care!

One day I decided since Addam was having his Engine day at work that we would go and visit him and invite our friend's the Lange Family. Jenn and I both have kiddo's similar in age, I have 2 boys and she has 2 girls. We always joke Tyler and Abby act like an old married couple when they play. Abby had never seen a fire engine up close and we figured what a great way to have her see one and know that it is not something scary but they are there to help you. The kid's had a blast playing in the engine and all over the station. Thanks guys for letting us hang out!
