Kayaking

The boys throwing rocks into the river.
Tyler on dry land.

Addam paddling away!

Yes, you read right... Kayaking! Since we moved up this way over 5 years ago Addam has been wanting to go kayaking on the river. So we decided why not?! We met up with some friends of ours Eric and Ginger and their two boys Cole & Kayden at Negro Bar. Eric works with Addam at his station. They have a canoe that they take out and we decided to rent a kayak and enjoy the weather and water. Boy were we in for it!! Tyler was excited until he realized he couldn't get out. I looked like a beached whale! The life vest sat so funny on me and Tyler was not having sitting with me and not being able to run around. Addam did all of the paddling as I was holding onto a child who wanted "OUT!!". He did like seeing the ducks swimming along, but I think he only lasted a total of 15 minutes!! So we decided to head back to dry land and just let the boys run around and burn energy. They had a great time!! They played and had a blast throwing rocks into the river. Then we headed off to lunch at Dos Coyotes! What a great day!

Fish Hatchery

They loved Tyler!

Tyler throwing fish food with Daddy.

The beautiful American River.

We decided this morning that we should take Tyler to the Nimbus Fish Hatchery. I have fond memories of going there and throwing fish food to what seems like a million fish and thought what a great thing for him to see! So we packed up and headed out. Tyler had a blast feeding the fish and kept saying, "Foose!". That's how he says fish... so cute!! We must have spent a few hours there and he had a great time. For 5 cents you get a handful of fish food and it kept him busy and interested for a long time! What a great morning adventure!

Playgroup & Lunch!

Playing in the lady bug!

Tickling baby Zoe's toe's! (Thanks Jenn for your patience!).
Running around in the water!

Tyler & Abby on our train ride.

Happy Birthday Mom!

This friday we decided for play group to hit up the Fountains again in Roseville and let the kids get some sun and water in before nap! It was great! The kids had a blast playing on the playground and then running over and strippin' down to diapers to play in the water feature (Tyler's favorite thing!). My mom joined us as did my Grandma and Aunt. We took my mom out to lunch after playgroup to celebrate her birthday. Tyler is starting to figure out that it's birthday time. He now sings, "Happy to YOU Ammy!" all over the place. He also says, "Cake?!". So he is making connections that when it's your birthday you get some cake. He loves it! Thanks for a great day everyone! Happy Birthday Mom!

Friday Fun!

Clare, Abby & Tyler all holding hands to walk to the train.

Water Baby!

Sooo much fun!

Every Friday we try to all get together for our little playgroup. This week we decided to head to Roseville to the Fountains and let the kids go crazy in the water since the heat is creeping up on us rapidly at this point. Tyler, Clare and Abby had sooo much fun running around. Baby Zoe kept is simple in the shade of her stroller and slept through all the kids screaming! Tyler was the water lover and couldn't get enough of the water spraying out of the ground. We rode the small train that they have there also and of course Tyler loved it! We then had lunch at a restaurant called "The Counter" and it was so yummy! Thanks for a fun time!

Mommy's Shoe's

"Mommy shoe's!"

Look at those feet! What a cutie huh?

For the past couple of days now if one of us leaves our shoe's by the door Tyler decide's to try to put on our shoe's. He seems to be liking my shoe's better, but I think it's mainly because my foot is wayyyyy smaller than Addam's. Addam has a size 13, and I'm a size 7 to give you a comparison. I caught Tyler walking around in my sandals saying, "Mommy shoe's!" over and over. He was so proud of himself to be walking around in my sandals. But look how big his feet are! Sooo cute though. Just had to share!

Mother's Day

Mommy & Tyler on the train. 25 weeks preggers and counting!

Tyler running around!

Since Addam had to go to work today, I decided that for Mother's Day I wanted to spend the whole day doing stuff with the little guy who made me a Mommy. So Tyler and I headed to the Folsom City Zoo. We had gone to the library the day before and had missed the chance to go to the zoo and on the train because it was past 4p.m., and my little guy was pretty bummed out. So I figured what a great way to spend time together and make up for the day before. We had a blast at the zoo! He would walk up to the monkey's and make a monkey sound and just ran around the entire zoo. He loved visiting with each animal and telling me what sound they make or asking something about them in his own little language. Then we headed out of the zoo and up a path to ride the little steam engine train that they have in the park there. He LOVED it! We hoped on and he kept saying, "Wow! Mommy! Wow!". While we were on the train the engineer made a stop to add more cars and the caboose and Tyler was overjoyed! He kept saying, "Boose!!". When we got back to the station, Tyler had to say "Thank you" to the engineer and then we chased the chickens in the park. We headed to Costco after that to pick up some food for our BBQ that we were having that afternoon with Unkie Steve and Ammy (my Mom). We had a hot dog lunch and shopped and headed home. He fell asleep right when we got home. When he woke up we headed out to the lake with my brother and my mom and hit the lake in his boat. What an awesome afternoon! We anchored and of course the ducks must have known I brought bread and Tyler and Steve fed the ducks. We headed back to our house and had tri-tip and all the yummy sides for dinner. What a great Mother's Day!
Ammy and Tyler. He's yelling, "WOW!" As we go along the lake.

Early Mother's Day

This year Addam had to work on Mother's Day so we celebrated a day early. My men took me out to breakfast at a little spot called Sutter Street Grill. It's located in Old Town Folsom, and has the BEST food ever! Plus I crave their french toast with a sausage patty.. hehe.. You have to love being preggers! We had a great morning of fun eating breakfast and Tyler said Hi to everyone who came in and Bye to everyone who left since we were seated near the door. Then we just walked around Old Town and just enjoyed being together. Addam has also been working very hard on finishing up our backyard. Yep, it's been a long time coming. We always say we'll get it done, but he has it almost 99% done and it looks amazing. Thank you husband!! You rock! Thank you for a wonderful mother's day, I love you and Tyler soooo much and I love our baby in the belly too!

Zach's 6th Birthday

Tyler & Katie jumping around.

Tyler keeping up with the 6 year olds!

I can't believe that our nephew Zach is 6 already! I'm feeling old! :) He had an awesome birthday party. It was a train theme of course and he had a bounce house which was a hit with everyone. Tyler loves to see his cousins as often as possible, so how could he pass up a birthday party with them!? Too bad the weather went from being sunny and warm to being cold and rainy! Despite the rain and cold, the kids all had a blast and Zach's birthday party was fun for all! Happy Birthday Zach! We love you! (I didn't know 6 year olds could move so fast, I didn't even get one picture of the birthday boy! Oh well, next year maybe!!).
