Thanksgiving

Grandpa & Grandma Schwartz, Tyler, & Me

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We had a great holiday. We started out the day visiting Addam's Grandparent's in Lodi and visiting Grandma who has been in a rehabilitation center after a fall, and had a blast! Tyler loved seeing his Great-Grandparents and of course I brought food for Grandpa so he wouldn't go hungry. He's a Schwartz, so of course I made Grandma's famous Steak and Weenies, he loved it and I'm soooo happy he liked it! Then we headed to my Grandparents house in the Bay Area and of course Tyler loved seeing everyone and getting all sorts of attention. He loves running around my Grandparents HUGE backyard and exploring. We ate lots of food and had a great time!

Tyler took a bath at Nona's, of course in the sink!

Early Thanksgiving

Addam, Katie, Zach and Tyler hanging out.

Tyler playing outside.

So over a week ago we recieved great news! Addam's Mom and Stepdad were going to be out to visit early for Thanksgiving. We were so excited to see them and to share everything that has been going on and especially for them to see how much Tyler has grown since the last time they saw him. We all met up at Grandma and Grandpa Beck's home for a wonderful family dinner, the food was delicious as always and then we all just sat around and talked and enjoyed being together as a family. You can't ask for anything better than spending the day with family, because family is what means the most in the end. It was so wonderful to see everyone and to enjoy eachother during the holiday season. Tyler loved listening to Grandma Rache'l and Gramps play their violins, he just stared in amazement at them and then danced! He loved giving GiGi kisses and hugs. And loved taking a stroll with Grandma Rache'l down the street. We love you all! Happy EARLY Thanksgiving!

Helping Mommy with Breakfast

One morning I awoke to a very happy baby who was ready to go. I got Tyler out of bed and brought him in to wake up Addam, he loves to run in and kiss Addam and surprise him. After he did that, we went into the kitchen and Tyler had his cup of milk (or "mi-mi") and decided he wanted to help me make breakfast. He said, "Up!", then came "Help!". We made sausage, and Tyler kept saying "HOT!". Then we mixed up waffle mix because Daddy loves waffles, and he loved mixing and helping me measure and pour. When Daddy walked out he found a yummy breakfast made with love. We love you Daddy!

Tyler taking a break, he sat right down on the edge of the fridge!

San Francisco Zoo

Addam & Tyler

Tyler chasing Daddy

We awoke this morning to it already being a little warmer than usual for this time of the year. Addam and I had been talking about taking Tyler to the City and having a whole day there and just doing and being. So we decided to take him to the San Francisco Zoo! I hadn't been in years and Addam has never been so it was perfect. We had a great drive down, and when we arrived, we arrived to 80 degree weather in Novemberin the City!! When does that ever happen? Tyler didn't even nap, he was so excited once he saw the animals. He didn't nap until 2:30p.m. He fell asleep in the stroller as soon as we walked into the parking lot to go to the truck. Addam and I just drove across the street and parked right next to the ocean and just sat there and let our little man take a nice nap. Then we headed to Pier 39 and Ghiradelli Square. What great food we ate and yummy desserts! It was a great day trip for us! And we can't wait to go again!

My favorite picture I caught of Tyler & Addam looking out at the Sea Lions. So precious!

McKinley Park

Tyler chasing ducks.

Loving the slides!

One afternoon we went and visited Daddy at his station and had a blast! Of course we got there before them, but they are one of the busiest stations in the district. We had fun as always visiting Addam and his crew and they all love to see Tyler or as he is nicknamed, "Tank!". So after we left we were going to have dinner at Grammy & Grandpa Joyal's house, but we had some time so we stopped at McKinely Park in downtown Sacramento. It's a great park with running paths, duck pond, play area, library, you name it! Plus the homes that surround it are just gorgeous and I wish I could take a tour of them all! Tyler had fun of course chasing the ducks and wanted to follow them in to the pond, so I was busy chasing him and making sure we weren't both soaking wet. After we chased every duck in the park, we headed over to the playground and he had so much fun climbing and running around. Then we headed for our dinner date and had a great evening! And of course Tyler got to take a bath in Grammy's kitchen sink so it made his entire day!

Train Museum

Tyler playing with the Thomas trains.

Mommy & Tyler with a BIG Train.

So it's been raining all day today, so we decided to head out and go to Old Town Sacramento and have an afternoon of fun at the Railroad Museum. Tyler is apparently into trains, well sometimes, but we thought what a great place to run around and have fun! We had a blast! Tyler wanted to climb every staircase in the place and ran through all the trains and gave all the volunteers high five's as he ran by. And he would say, "CHOO CHOO!". So cute! He loved playing in the upstairs area where all of the Thomas the Train toys are set up. He had fun playing with the other kids and then just watching what the older kids were doing. We had a fun family dinner and then headed home for the night. Love all of our family outings!

Halloween!

Tyler & Mommy

Our cute little Monkey!

Tyler & Daddy

So for Halloween I found the cutest costume at Target. Tyler helped by grabbing it and hugging it. We decided right then and there in the Halloween area that he would be a Monkey! He is a monkey at home anyways, climbing and jumping around, so we thought why not?! In the morning he was not really into the monkey outfit and cried, we thought he would never wear it to go trick-or-treating. We got the surprise though that night, he put it on with all his safety stuff (he wore this cute blinky light around his neck) and grabbed his candy bucket and hopped in his little car and we were off! At every house he would get out of his car, walk up to the door and knock, and when the door opened he would say, "HI!". Addam had to hold the candy bucket because he didn't really get that, and he would say thank you to everyone. We thought that we would just do our block and head home, well, Mommy was the only one who went home because someone had to hand out candy! Addam and Tyler were out the entire time before it down poured rain! They had a great time! And thank goodness they came home when they did because I was running out of candy so I borrowed some of the stuff we didn't like in Tyler's candy bucket and handed it out. Is that bad? Overall, it was a great Halloween and we can't wait for next year!

Joshua arrived and was healthy as can be! I forgot how small newborns are, and it was such a joy and priviledge to be there and see him as he was only 2 days old! Congrats you guys! We love you all!

Funderland!

Sharing a corn dog with Daddy!

Since I had to work toinght, Addam had the great idea of taking Tyler to Funderland! How awesome of a Dad is he?! Funderland is a kiddie amusement park in Sacramento near the zoo and Fairy Tale Town. Needless to say they had a total blast and rode every ride! Go Daddy!

Sand

Addam has been working on the top of our hill since the summer started, and he put sand up there and placed slate over it so we could sit up there on our park bench and look at the hills behind our community. Tyler has now discovered that we have sand at our house and loves to play in it! He's so funny, though we have to make sure it doesn't hit the mouth because he still likes to eat sand every now and then! I think this means that Santa might have to bring a sand box!
