Addam's Birthday Surprise
So Addam thought all I had planned for his birthday was going to my MOPS meeting and then he had a massage. He thought he'd come home and we'd be having dinner all together. WRONG! Addam loves to go on date nights and I always seem to get him to want to bring along the kid's. He enjoys date nights, and so do I, but they are something that we are trying to do more of so I surprised him with dinner at a very nice restaurant and just US! He couldn't believe it! We dropped the kid's off with my Mom and Don, and then headed downtown to the Firehouse (the yummiest food!) for a romantic Mommy and Daddy dinner. I love being with just him and being able to catch up with eachother. Sometimes it's hard to do after a long day at home or at work. So I have now made it a priority to have more date nights and we do a lot of family things to! So we are both happy! Happy 29th Birthday Addam! We love you!
Our little preformer
Waiting for the music!
I attend a Mother's of Preschooler's group (MOPS) and I bring the boys with me so that they have some interaction with other kiddo's. Today also happens to be Addam's birthday. So myself and the boys left to give Addam a morning to himself to do whatever he would like, and then I surprised him with a massage at the same place I went for my birthday! Since it is the holiday season, the classes for each age group at the church put together a musical for all the Mommy's as a gift. I was told my Tyler's teacher that he was the "leader for the class". I didn't get it until I saw him doing his favorite thing, singing and dancing! He was the only one in his class who knew the words, sang them and did the motions! I was cheering him on, I was so proud and it was at that moment that I realized he's growing up toooooo fast! But what an amazing gift! He sang a version of Joy to the World. We are so proud of you Tyler!

Another birthday visit!
The day after my birthday my Grandma and Aunt came up from the bay area to celebrate my birthday. Tyler loves to show off to Nona (My grandma) and "Z" (Short for Zia Judy, my aunt). We had a great time meeting up at my Mom's place and having lunch and of course being together. Here is my Grandma with her favorite Great Grandson's!

30! Already?!
My inferno of a cake!
The boys and I.
The boys and I.
I can't believe that I have officially turned 30. I told Addam, "I can't be that old already!". My loving husband surprised me with a day of pampering! I was first given envelopes at breakfast and was told to not open them until certain times. The first one I opened was for a massage at one of the spa's in El Dorado Hills. A 1 hour massage at that!!! It was great! I will definitly be going back! Then after my massage, the next envelope I opened was for me to go and have my hair cut and colored and to get my make up done! I had a blast going back to being blonde and getting a new hair cut for turning 30. Then it was home to see my wonderful hubby and our beautiful boys. Usually we always go out to dinner with my Mom and Don, my brother and all of us. So we all met up at BJ's in Folsom, a great pizza place if you haven't been to one! And all of a sudden our friends start walking in! He surprised me with not only my family but all of our friends as well! What a great birthday!! Husband you are the best and I know that I have been truly blessed with the bestest husband. Thank you for a day just for myself, since you keep telling me I need to do it. I love you! Thank you to my family and all of our friends who shared in my day!

SNOW!
My brother's house.
Our house.
Our house.
Yes you read right, we had snow!! It's been a few years since we had our last dusting of snow. But man, this was HUGE! We had a pretty good amount of snow at our house. Tyler thought it was sooooooooo cool! This from the child who cried at the snow last year. :) Then my brother called and asked if we could go and check his house since he was at work. I thought, "This is what sister's are for, I'm sure he's just got a dusting like us". We started up to his house and had snow flurries and at least a 1/2 foot of snow! We headed to Target bought snow gear and played at his house for a long time! What a great day, too bad the guys were at work!

Folsom Tree Lighting

Sword fighting!
Tooooo cute!
This year we were invited to go to the Folsom Tree Lighting with our friend's the Keeton Family. Jack and Tyler have been going to gymnastics together at the Little Gym for a long time now and are great little buddies! We had dinner at Pizzeria Classico in Old Town and then hit the streets to see all the lights, the horse drawn wagon's and the snow machine's making fake snow (well, bubble snow!). We were told treelighting was at 6p.m., but the city of Folsom was not on time like EDH, so it didn't happen until about 7 or later! I invited our friend's the Rudnicki's. Kim and I went to nursing school and worked together at Kaiser, and our husband's went to Chabot College together and work for Metro Fire now.. such a small world, but we have been blessed with such an amazing friendship with them! Kim and her 2 kiddo's (and one in her tummy!): Rylee and Brody met up with myself, Tyler, Trevor and my brother Steve. We bought the kid's light up swords and they had a blast trying to beat eachother with them, we just hoped no one would end up hurt to bad! :) We rode the horse drawn wagon and that was a lot of fun. Then watched the tree lighting happen from the top of the street and then headed out. What a great night with family and friends. We know we have been blessed with such great friend's and family! We love you all!

Our flooring saga....
Tyler dancing away!
Cement and hardwood... the final outcome is soooo much better!
Cement and hardwood... the final outcome is soooo much better!
Well, as most of you know, we decided to get new flooring in our house since our carpet was on it's last leg between 2 adults, 2 kid's and a crazy dog. So we decided to splurge and get beautiful hardwood floors.... little did we know what we were getting into! The demo wasn't so bad, but it was the fact that after the demo and installing 1/3 of the wood that they figured out that the woods did not match and there was a manufacturing problem. To say the least I about fell over and had a hissy fit because I couldn't believe it! We had a representative from the manufacturer come to our home and look at it and even he couldn't believe it was wrong... we had about 7 planks in our house of the correct wood! GRRRRRRR!!! So to say the least we will never be doing anything else to this house because it's always toooooo crazy and there's always something wrong.. LOL! But in the end we were compensated since we had only a little hardwood and a whole lot of cement floors for about 3-4 weeks with two small kid's. Basically everyday we moved to a new house and came home to sleep. Thank you to my Mom and Brother Steve for letting us crash at your houses and for feeding us! We love you all! Our floors look amazing now, and though I was told I would forget about it, I haven't, but I love the floors anyways!
